We all know that Vidya "Ooh la la" Balan gained 12 kg for her role as the bomaard Silk Smitha. Considering the fact that Vidya's performance took her career sky high because it was that much excellent, one must wonder whether Pakistani none other than the bold Veena Malik will out do Vidya's portrayal in the remake of The Dirty Picture. A Kannada version of the film is under the works starring Veena Malik as Silk Smitha. The remake has no connections with the original film as it will have a different origin. Veena Malik has claimed that she, like Vidya Balan, has put on 5 kg for her role. The Queen of Controversies has stated to IANS, "I had to put on five kg for the role because the script demanded so. Size zero does not exist here in South. I was 48kg, now I am 53kg. Forty per cent of the shooting has been completed." Due to the shooting of ‘Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga’ in Bangalore, Veena Malik has been continuously compared with Rakhi Sawant but the bold model-turned-actress is not allowing judgments let her down. When asked about the recent judgments, Malik said, "No, it does not bother me because whenever any new thing comes, people tend to judge it or tag it. I am sure with time things will change. After the leaked “Aamir Liaquat real face video” released last year, in which he was found using profanity, the doctor has successfully managed to get back to his REAL CHANNEL. Aamir Liaquat who was serving as an MD of Islamic Channel QTV , resigned from his current designation at QTV before moving back onto its old network. Ramadhan Aamir Liaquat Hussain Ke saath!It is being said that GEO TV has brought Aamir Back into the network to use his “hosting kills” during the holy month of Ramadhan. As he is known for breaking TRP records during Ramadhan (with his spiritual duas and heavenly Naat recitation) he is considered the hottest commodity that sells well. It is now up-to the advertisers and marketing companies of Pakistan how they decide to invest money on the back of some one whose image is tarnished so badly.
WHY SO SERIOUS ?I could skip this update or might have written a tone down version of this blog if GEO TV hadn’t made that new “music video” featuring Aamir Liaquat as new vocalist. Since I woke up today and tuned Geo Tv channels, they are consecutively showing that promo, featuring the great voice of Aamir Liaquat, as if Pakistan has won against Sri Lanka. Seeing Aamir singing and moving onto Karachi roads, that too consecutively on screen , is now feeling like a slap on my face. It is requested to the channel representatives NOT TO PUSH such appointment in THAT frequency that it pisses us all off. PEACE. | Atif Aslam upsets Asha Bhosle with his rude arguments Posted: 04 Jul 2012 09:17 AM PDT Another Indo-Pak Clash: Atif Aslam vs Asha Bhosle
The show involved two teams from Pakistan and India led by Atif and Himesh Reshammiya, respectively and three judges: singing legends Asha Bhosle, Abida Parveen and Runa Laila. When the judge Bhosle openly expressed her opinion about a contestant from Atif's team, the leader strongly retaliated and showed a complete disregard for both the age and respect factor for the veteran to the point of threatening to walk out if his member is not allowed to compete for the next round. As a judge, Bhosle stood by her decision with the belief that if he is allowed to proceed, then it is injustice for the other participants. Observing how rude Atif is, Bhosle walked out and returned back to Mumbai with no desire to continue the show. Following the endless efforts by producer Kapoor to make peace between the two, Bhosle returned back to Dubai and successfully managed to continue the rest of the show's episodes. We think, It is not something to feel proud of and Atif should really apologize for his behavior. While it should also be noted that earlier Asha Bhosle had given rude remarks against Atif Aslam in a reality TV show. It is also believed that offensive behavior of Atif Aslam might be in retaliation to that. Still, he should come forward, apologize and show some respect to the veteran singer! What makes the upcoming film “Siyaah” unique is that it is not another emotional love story nor a film based on terrorism or religious insecurities. In fact, it is unique in the sense that it is a horror film based on black magic. The film is to be directed by Azfar jafri and guarantees to change the very face of horror as he has over and over again proudly claimed that he researched on the topic for a whole year before taking the responsibility of directing the film. The story revolves around a modern family who is haunted by demons and other supernatural beings due to their very own disbeliefs. The plot has been written be comedian Osman Khalid Butt and produced by Imran Raza Kazmi. Kazmi has revealed that it took quite a while to make this film as he had to struggle a lot to make the concept a reality. This is Jafri's very first film and aims to, unlike same-old Hollywood movies, introduce black magic in a more "believable" manner. With all the hype and anticipations surrounding the film, only time can tell whether it will be enough to revive the lost spirit of the once proud Pakistani cinema. After rumors about her father joining Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-insfaf (PTI) with the desire of her daughter doing the same, Malik had another interview with The Express Tribune and stated, "Whenever there is something wrong going on in society my blood boils and sometimes I wish to be a part of this system so I can change things." Opportunities are always there and so is the courage of Malik. When asked about the issues she will focus on if she possibly enter politics, the actress said, "the freedom to live life the way one wants to be." It should be recalled that earlier this year, PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan requested Veena to be a member of the Senate during next elections. The bold Veena Malik has certainly changed the face of every field she has entered and one must imagine what the critical fate of politics will be if she ever steps foot in it. | “No Borders” by Fortitude Ft Alag: Official Music Video Posted: 04 Jul 2012 06:15 AM PDT Fortitude is back with a bang. Due to the success of their very first music video 'Pakhtoon Core', the duo, with the collaboration of rhythmic Alag, has come up with another music video for their dedicated fans and "Our King of Heart" Haider Ali Khan. The band has once again added some the elements of their previous video: Pakhtoon culture and catchy beats mixed with bling bling. Both the band members have performed well in their own right when it comes to singing or "busting a move with the beat". The music video starts by a member playing a soothing guitar-like instrument to grasp the attention of the audience but that drastically changes when another member starts a fierce rap in Pashtu. Then a series of individual raps are followed by each member with clips of tough-as-nails attitude expressed by Alag. The overall video is too impressive to make anyone, Pathan or not, say wow and the credit goes to M.W. Productions. The music video for No Borders has been directed and edited by Muddessir Wadood. Danny Qamar took the responsibility of being the director of photography. On top of all, Webster Beats has been in charge of the music production for the new video. As of now, the Fortitude has received a very well feedback and with the ever growing popularity, it looks like the band is definitely here to stay. Amazing films such as 'Khuda Kay Liye' and 'Bol' captured the hearts of millions of Pakistanis but this is not enough to keep the cinema of Pakistan alive. With the decline of good films and other controversial issues, it seems highly unlikely that the disgraced face of Pakistani cinema will be able to once again achieve the tall heights of glory it once had. As of now, that may change because the Pakistani cinema has to deal with 'Siyaah' now.
Controversial photo shoots, performing sensual item songs, starring in Bollywood films alongside big names – the devil's favorite Pakistani has done it all but one must ask: what is next for Veena Malik's career? As of late, the model-turned-actress did mention that her ultimate goal is to be a singer but there is another hot word buzzing around to ignite the curiosity. Veena Malik has expressed her desire to possibly enter the vast field of politics in the future.
