Poor Rich Boy; Finger (Official Video) Posted: 09 Jun 2012 11:50 PM PDT   Artist:  Poor Rich Boy Song:  Finger from the upcoming "Old Money" album. Recorded and Produced at :  Poor Rich Boy Studios Do you know what it feels like throwing all your diamonds in the sea? Poor Rich Boy definitely knows that because this band from Lahore took all their potential and talent and flushed it down the toilet. Their new music video 'Finger' opens up with the lead vocalist singing, homely struggles and other random activities and scenes such as parrots in a small cage, the band members doing jumping jacks, covering the whole face by tape etc. In other words, the music video lacks the message (I doubt that there was even one) it was trying to give. I must admit that for a Pakistani band, Poor Rich Boy shows exceptional English speaking skills in their new song but the talent is a waste and putrid because the lyrics do not make any sense at all nor does the video. The music video proves that the band is not familiar with neither bathing nor appropriate social behavior because while reaching the climax of the video, a face drawn on the belly by lipstick is shown depicting kisses at the screen. Apart from the uncouth and much ill-mannered actions shown in the video, the band undoubtedly has a good acoustic guitar player as well as an English language vocalist. With all the indecency and questionable intentions of the band, it is with a sad heart I must say that Poor Rich Boy flushed all their talent down the toilet. Humaima Malick Stepped Into Bollywood Posted: 09 Jun 2012 12:06 PM PDT She touched the hearts of millions around the world by playing as the emotional Zainub in Shoaib Mansoor's “Bol” last year and now it looks like that she has plans to catapult her career to a whole new level because Humaima Malick has just signed her very first Bollywood film, action-thriller Sher. Humaima Malik’s acting in the movie “bol” was tremendous; She was entirely committed to her role; performing and giving everything she got in order to fulfil the expectations of Shoaib Mansoor, As far as her new role is concerned, she is to take on the same role as Shabana Azmi's in Vinay Shukla's Godmother. The popular model-turned-actress has been on quite a role recently as it should be recalled that she made the Pakistani Film Industry proud by winning the Best Actor Female Award for her role in 'Bol' at this year's London Asian Film Festival. Now, the rising starlet is set to take on the lead role in the upcoming Bollywood film Sher along with the big guns of the Bollywood world i.e. Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal and Vivek Oberoi. It has been reported that the film is to be directed by Soham Shah (the director of Kaal and Luck), to be shot in Jaipur, Gujarat and Rajasthan and is definitely a high budget film. On her role in the new Bollywood flick, Humaima has enthusiastically stated that, "I feel I'm crossing the border with a role that echoes my earlier film. Like my character in Bol, here too, my character revolts against patriarchy. Ali Zafar’s Climbing To The Success Posted: 09 Jun 2012 11:56 AM PDT Left a huge impression in the Bollywood comedy scene by playing the enthusiastic journalist Ali Hassan in 'Tere Bin Laden' and now it looks like that Ali Zafar is set to take his act to a whole new level as he is set to take the lead in the upcoming comedic film' Chashme Buddoor', the remake of the 1981 film of the same name. The film is to be directed by none other than Bollywood's King of Comedy, David Dhawan and Ali Zafar is to become co-star of Taapsee Pannu, Divyendu Sharma, Rishi Kapoor and Anupam Kher. On being offered the role, Zafar admits that watching the original film was a must to develop the comical taste. The original starred Farooq Shaikh and was directed by Sai Paranjpye; who has also written the screenplay of the remake. Ironically, both Paranjpye and Dhawan found many similarities between Sheikh and Zafar and found him as the perfect lead for the film. The film also gives the Pakistani star to show his dancing skills as it has been reported that the film is to start with a dancing number. According to his tweet, "I had a wonderful time shooting for the movie and specially the songs in true Bollywood style." Following 'Tere Bin Laden' and 'London Paris New York', this is the third Bollywood film for the young singer-turned-actor. The film is to be released on the 31st of August, 2012.
