Song: I am the Architect

Here’s something Sound of Madness wanna say:

“If others are hesitant to experiment, why shouldn’t we do it? that is the question that came to mind when we wrote ‘I am the architect’. Here’s a song purely for the sake of music. It’s not to prove that we’re the best but to prove that we’re not joining the worst.”

Noori Get Their Voice Heard On BBC 5

Posted: 18 Jun 2012 01:33 PM PDT

By Hasan Faridi

Legendary Pakistani rock group Noori flew on a long journey to the U.S prior to their gig at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Who knew they'd also fly through the airwaves in the UK too?

Likewise, Noori scored an interview with presenter Giles Dilnot in BBC 5's "Up all Night" show.

Even though the interview was less than 5 minutes in length, Ali Noor had a good chance to speak out about the current climate of the Pakistani music industry and the event itself.

It would seem Noori has come well prepared, even in terms of avoiding language barrier problems. Ali said,

"The songs that we're performing here are in English so we think that the language shouldn't be a barrier…"

Ali also described how the U.S. has a lot to look forward to in the upcoming event,

"I think Americans haven't got a chance to see… the musical and cultural side of Pakistan which is very very powerful. We've had a revolution going on as far as music is concerned in this country… I think America is definitely going to find this interesting, and more importantly the people in Pakistan will get to see America just as well."

Noori are currently rehearsing and playing for a new cultural exchange initiative in the U.S. Its aim is to showcase different talents around the world and celebrate the diversity of cultures. Also present at this event, is singer-songwriter Arieb Azhar, music producer Zeeshan Parwez and the guitar virtuoso Faraz Anwar.
