Ali Zafar wins Dadasaheb Phalke Award, meets Dilip Kumar (Pictures)

Ali Zafar has been nominated for several awards last year, but only this year he managed to receive his first Stardust Award in “Superstar of Tomorrow” category. Now, the news is that Ali Zafar has won another prestigious award in India.

Reportedly, Ali Zafar will be bringing a Phalke Academy Award home from the '143rd Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards' ceremony. Dadasaheb Phalke is a prestigious event for Indian cinema and every Bollywood actor who dreams of being honoured in the industry. The event is held annually to present trophies to senior producers, distributors, exhibitors and actors.

This year, the annual event was held at Mumbai's Tulip Star, Juhu where the biggest stars of the Indian film industry were present. Some of the other prominent awardees at this 143rd event were Waheeda Rehman, Tanuja, Saira Banu, Tanuja and Vidya Balan

At this moment, Ali Zafar also met and hand shaked with legendary Dilip Kumar and showed him respect. Following are some exclusive pictures from the event.

Ahson Haqqani found the passion for music back in his school days & bought his first guitar. Ever since then he has been making his own compositions. It was in his university that he started doing gigs and performances for friends & his musical capabilities were appreciated. In that very moment, his passion for music turned into a dream, a goal that he strove for, and he actually made the decision of stepping up into music professionally.

He started of his musical ♫ career as the vocalist, guitarist and lyricist of the band A². didn’t really work out so he went on solo, He’s been working on his songs and compositions for quite some time. His lyrics and vocals are deep and powerful and such which anyone can relate to, leaving people mesmerized and wanting for more. His chords stir powerful emotions and that in itself is an astounding feat while his lyrics are meaningful and echo with a clarity that in this world of music is rare indeed.
