Translation & Sindhi Lyrics:

1.
Wari Warando Wa, Wari Wasanda Meehnha
Sajan Milanda Sajane, Nawa Theenda Neenha
Wichore Ja Deenha Rahi Rahand Ketra

The airy weather of love will return
The rains of affection will come again
The loved ones will enjoy reunion
The days of separation will be over soon

2.
Sindh Muhinji, Soonha tuhinjiya Mathaan
Cha Likhi Cha Likhaan
Hik Kalam Hikro Maa, Keeya Pooro Pawaan
Cha Likhi Cha Likhaan

Oh my mother Sindh, upon your splendour,
There is so much, I wonder what to write
How a pen and I could suffice,
There is so much, I wonder what to write

3.
Tuhinje Manhun Khe Sene Main Sandhyo Watan
Tuhinje Lariyun Layun khe Maan chandan chawan
Shal Tuhinje Kukh Maan Piyo Har Har Jaman
KherU tuhinjo Piyan WerU Tuhinjo Thiyan

I keep your people close to my heart and soul
I also name your weeds and wild plants as sandalwood
I pray that I may be born of you again and again
I may get fed from you, fight for you and be a triumphant person

4.
Hin Kadhe Te Kudyo Jo Abm Bar Aa,
KinH Ta Jejal jo Jani AkhyUn Thar Aa
Ho Jo Balak Subhani Jo Maimar Aa
Hun Je Bole Aan Lole Tan Sadke Wajan

At the bank of a river plays an innocent young soul
He is an adorable, beloved child of his mother
He is a hope for a bright tomorrow
I'll sacrifice my life on his language and lullaby

5.
HooA Ja Bewas Bukhan Te Marhe MandU The
AajU Bhe Jote AsUr Jo Uthe JandU The
Ja Garam Kher Main Pae Gade KhandU The
Un Suhagin Khe Maan KaaEan Na Sajdo Kayan

The one Oh! ‘Bewas’ who is hungry yet content
Handgrinds the flour err the day breaks and
Stirs some sugar in a glass of hot milk
Why shouldn't I fall prostrate to such a devoted bride!

5 Minutes with Sara Haider [Interview]

Posted: 11 Apr 2012 11:04 AM PDT

We sat down with Sara Haider who recently performed a session for Ufone Uth Records 2.0 and talked about her work, experience with Ufone Uth Records and possible future endeavors.

Q) How did you begin? How do you define your sound?

A) Definitions! Who needs em!

I began by singing religious songs, which I am supposed to stop calling 'songs' and to stop saying that I 'sing' them ('RECITE!').

..and then, naturally, I started singing the Beatles. My brother, Shaan Haider, is a great guitarist and we used to jam all the time. I think that's probably why I kind of have a sense of how to work well with instrumentalists without being one myself. About 2 years ago, I had my first public performance at t2f. Sabeen, ZAK, Mariam, Rabiya, Raheel, Danish, Suhaee, Sara – those guys really supported me (and still do) and it picked up from there.

Q) What influences your music?

A) Everything, really. It’s like expressing yourself in words when you talk… what you say depends on what you're thinking about at the time.

Q) How do you find Ufone Uth Records? How was your work experience with them?

A) Really great. I learned a lot, laughed a lot. Panicked. A lot.

I really love the whole Uth team. Special thanks to Mo, for being with us every step of the way, and to Gumby, for all the effort and patience and jet sport.

Q) Any new upcoming projects?

A) Yes. My next project is going to be… a surprise. Hehe.

Asad Ahmed – Will You (Instrumental) (KM Single Review)

Posted: 10 Apr 2012 09:45 AM PDT

By Hasan Faridi

Renowned guitarist Asad Ahmed, has been in the music industry for ages. It's just that most of the time, he hasn't had a chance to showcase himself as a sole artist. With an upcoming album over the horizon, Ahmed wants to show what he can bring to the table.

In a defiant stand, Ahmed recently made a clear statement, stating, "I don't want to do the whole guitar hero thing again. I think, for me, it has always been more about the songs than guitar solos."

And likewise, Ahmed may have just already proved he can create instrumental 'songs' in his new release named "Will You". It's given to us hungry rockers like a starter prior to the main course.

Upon listening to the track, I was immediately hooked in. Starting off with bunch of heavy riffing and power slides by the man himself, Asad gives us a good dose of his own solo composition. The bass at the bridge drops the adrenaline, but then Ahmed flies in with a fast solo backed up later with the waa-waa pedals.

After repeating the same song many times, I found myself hearing not just music, but the weeping electric guitar. The composition became a song. The guitar was actually singing. The voice was recognizable even more at the end, with the guitar seeming to weep "Will You" as the track came to a finish.

The track is as slick as Ahmed's long hair.

Without a doubt, Ahmed is one of Pakistan's finest guitarists. Along with many other achievements, Ahmed was the founder of the influential Pakistani band Karavan, and has collaborated with Vital Signs and the so-called "U2 of Pakistan", Junoon. His guitar skills have benefited many, including Najam Sheraz, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and recently in Ali Zafar's upcoming film, London Paris New York.

Ahmed's experience in the music industry is of such value that his achievements are somewhat rather unbelievable. You can even find him in various Youtube videos in which he performs live without busting a sweat or making a mistake. And likewise, we will see Ahmed's talent shine in the upcoming album.

Featuring English songs, surprise guest vocalists, and a whole array of instruments to add to the arsenal, the upcoming album will definitely be worth the wait.

He's normally seen in the backdrop playing his electric guitar, like in Coke Studio. One thing is for sure… his upcoming album will definitely bring him to the front.
