Ali Zafar’s Three New Songs of LPNY Tops the Indian Chart

Ali Zafar has gotten his name established in Bollywood through his acting and singing talents. Now his new romantic flick, London, Paris, New York's three songs have topped Indian chart, with 'Voh Dekhnay May' ranked at number 2. It is a rhythmic song that goes along with Ali's voice.

The title song 'London, Paris, New York' is at number 4 and is a pop number. According to Bollywoodlife.com, the song has an 'infectious energy' to it. This particular song is tied in on the charts along with his fellow countrymen Atif Aslam's 'Piya O Re Piya' from Tere Love Ho Gaya. Then at number 9 is 'Ting Ring', which is tied with couple of other songs.

The rankings have been chosen by 'Air time India'. The fact that Ali Zafar, who has composed the music of the film, is the first actor-singer who has also worked as a composer for the same project, is something that proves the diversity of his talent. Seeing such a response close to the release of the film, it speaks highly of how uniquely made and performed the film is by Ali Zafar who is known for his dedication to music and professionalism to his art.

Ali Zafar has already promised his fans to give them a surprise and refreshing romantic comedy in the form of his new film, London, Paris, New York. These days he has been a lot busy with the rest of the cast and crew of the movie to promote it throughout India. The film is about three different states of love that a person can experience.

The character of Ali Zafar, named Nikhil Chopra, goes through these different states of love in three different cities. Such an international scenario of falling in love is in itself a new theme for a Bollywood movie. The film's director, Anu Menon is debuting through it, releasing the film on March 2.

The students at Indira Gandhi College in Pune were fortunate enough to get an unplugged live performance from Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari. Ali has composed the music of the film and has also sung with his co-star. The young fans gave them a tribute of a special AV they had made about the film seeing which both the celebrities were humbly elated.

Ali Zafar said during the press conference held afterwards that:

"LPNY is a Hatke love story with a lot of romance and great music. Our experience from the film, I believe, is different from those who have done similar films in the past. The characters are different, the story is different. This is our way of telling a love story of today’s time and age."

Another Bollywood Actress models for a Pakistani Brand Crescent Lawn

A couple of days back we reported that Sonam Kapoor is now the brand ambassador of Pakistan’s Firdous Lawn. Now, another Bollywood actress has modeled for a Pakistani textile. This time, Crescent Lawn's new collection is being represented by Karisma Kapoor, the former number actress of Bollywood before she left the industry to give her younger sister, Kareena Kapoor the space to take her roles.

Previously, Sushmita Sen was the brand ambassador for Crescent Lawn, which is the second clothing line to utilize services from Indian leading actresses after Firdous Lawn started the trend with Kareena Kapoor. She was then hired by Crescent Lawn to do the same. Now it is Karisma Kapoor to shine their prints.

With more Bollywood movies being released this summer in Pakistan, the textile industry knows how to market their product to the masses. This year's collection has been designed by Faraz Menan who mentioned why Karisma was the right choice to market the campaign this year:

"Good design for me has always revolved around beautiful yet wearable fabrics. Staying true to my design philosophy, I have designed this collection as a fusion between the classic and the contemporary. This collection maintains the essence of tradition blended with practicality to fit the modern woman's wardrobe. Karisma, the style and the style icon, perfectly embodies this collection."

About working with Crescent Lawn, Karisma Kapoor said:

Shiraz Uppal quits Music !

One of the finest music producers of Pakistan, Shiraz Uppal, has suddenly and shockingly changed his way. Now, Shiraz Uppal quits Music!

A few hours ago, Shiraz Uppal announced this shocking news on his facebook page. Before he could announce the actual news and said some farewell words to the fans, he posted his new picture, titled as “a new beginning”, that showed him completely bald.

Soon after that Uppal updated his Facebook page with the message. He wrote:

I would like to thank you all for liking and enjoying my music… It was a Beautiful journey but everything comes to an end one day… So I said Good Bye to my Musical Career by my own choice… I just wished and prayed to my creator that how can i make u happy??? And he poured a light in my heart that opened my eyes and the path was lying clear in front of me… May Allah guide us all to the right… Amin

We haven’t yet figured out the actual reasons of quitting the music. May be, we won’t ever be able to as this is his personal choice and decision.But what we have observed is, this is not an instant decision. Uppal was in transition to change for quite some time. Analyzing his previous facebook statuses, one can understand that he was going towards spirituality and seeing many things from just Islamic point of view.

With this new development, the decision of Junaid Jamshed and Ali Haider also come our way. Both had left the music completely, even JJ became an Aalim and started preaching with Tableeghi Jamaats. Similar was the situation with Ali Haider, who first left the music and then later joined again with Noha’s, Dhamaals and indeed Sufi Music.

Its not been a while when we watched Junaid Jamshed again singing “Dil Dil Pakistan” and other Vital Signs songs with Salman Ahmed. The question that is popping into many minds is for how long Shiraz Uppal will remain away from music ? When preacher like Junaid Jamshed can’t get hold on his Nafs FOR-EVER , how would a newly transformed musician will keep control of him ?

Anyhow, We wish Shiraz Uppal very best of luck for his new beggining and hope his acts will now inspire more people to keep a balance in their lives.
