Shahista Wahidi to be featured in New Music Video of Faakhir

shaista Wahidi in Faakhir Music videoTV Anchor and popular Morning TV show host Shahista Wahidi will be featured in Faakhir’s upcoming new music video.

Wahidi, who reaches to millions of viewers via her GEO TV Morning show Utho Jago Pakistan, will now be seen featuring in Faakhir’s new music video. Faakhir, who had dissapeared from the screens for quite sometime is now fully back into the music scene. Now the pop singer is releasing back to back music videos featuring the renown beauties of Pakistan.

Just a few months ago, he released a music video Allah Karey, that featured Mahnoor Balouch and Mikaal Zulfiqaar. Then, only a month ago we saw another music video of Faakhir, Item Bomb, that featured Film and TV Actress Zara Sheikh. It now seems that Faakhir is impressed with the strategy that was once used by Adnan Sami Khan in India. Khan had featured all the top faces of Bollywood in the music video of his songs. Faakhir seems to be impressed with the idea and now using it to get the most out of it.

Back to the music video with Shahista Wahidi, the song/music video is titled as Bailiya. The video is a conceptual one and apparently depicts the British Raj. Faakhir’s new look suggests that he is playing a role of a “revolutionary” man. I doubt he is trying to revive the “Bhagat Singh” again. Together with Freedom fighting, love element will also be included to make this music video even more captivating. Anyhow, that’s all we can guess. For the actual music video, we will have to wait a few more days.

Check out below the Exclusive stills from Faakhir’s new music video Bailiya:

Pakistani Morning TV shows become Mourning shows?

channels airing morning tv showsOnce upon a time when there was only one channel  called "PTV" (Pakistan Television) and the people of Pakistan were emotionally attached to this channel not because of their hosts but the amount of filtered entertainment which was the symbol of PTV and which truly represented the ideology and culture of that 80's and 90's era.

Let's move to 21st century where we all are living and It's amazing how the artificially filled Morning TV shows have become an inevitable part of almost all of our Pakistani TV channels today. Hosted by the renowned actors and actresses, the ratings of these shows are ramping up every day.

I know a lot of women around me who are crazy about these shows. The idea behind these morning shows is not very novel because in early days of PTV, Mustansar Husain Tarrar and others of great repute also used to host morning shows which would not only be engaging but would also contain some good and meaningful message.

Comparing all the morning shows, the one which catched the eyeballs recently not for its supremacy but for the act they performed in parks of Karachi. Yes! You are right! We are talking about Pakistani Crime-mourning show host(not morning) Maya Khan!!!! (often called Now "Pyar ki dushman").

Maya khan on Samaa TVAccording to sources, her show had not been one of the highest-rated morning shows in Pakistan, that used to be on aired by the name of "Subah sawaray Maya kay sath". The TRPs of this show was constantly on decline due to the fact that Shaista Wahidi Of "Utho Jago Pakistan" and Nida Yasir of "ARY" were so popular among the viewers that it is hard to expect from Maya khan to make her place in  the heart of Pakistani Viewers.

Well we have seen that media has already been written so much about her and opposed against Maya’s raid on dating couples , but not many people know that there is a lot more to condemn and she had done even worst things in her show before this incident, she had been convicted on being faked and presented herself so emotional about social problems of Pakistani people.

One show I still remember when she called a "Peer" who claimed that he is an Holy man(Nauzubillah) with some spiritual powers. Later, he had arrested by Police of making false rumors about his personality. Maya Khan didn't even apologize to her viewers that how could she called a "fake peer" on her show without any formal investigation, totally ridiculous and disgusting. We also can't ruled out that she did it deliberately to increase the ratings of her show and the way she acted, hmm! To be very honest I don't have words to say! Just check it out by yourself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXDGjHQLXeI

Now let's talk about that particular show  in which Khan and around a dozen other men and women chased down young couples in a seaside park in the southern city of Karachi. Several couples raced away from the group. One young man put on a motorcycle helmet to hide his identity, while his female friend covered her face with a veil.

Khan finally accosted one couple sitting on a bench and exposed them with questions about whether they were married and whether their parents knew they were there. The man said the couple was engaged and asked Khan to shut off her cameras and microphone. She lied and said they were off.

I won't show you the video you that might have seen so many times on Youtube but I'd show you the real face of maya khan which is totally contradicting and her acts.

This is a report which has created by some private media news channel and what they said check it out;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ksIeVGv-Rs

Maya khan had to pay the aftermath of this show in form of her sacking. Samaa TV  has fired morning show host maya khan and her team, and has said that her show will be taken off the air. The role of Pemra(Pakistan electronic media regulating Authority) could have been more vital in this matter because at the end of the day Samaa Tv has washed their hands by terminating Maya Khan just because of the reactions they were not expecting, otherwise this show might still have run on Samaa Tv.

At last I'd say All these Morning TV shows have done is to promote vulgarity and show off. They enforced people to showcase their wealth, become a part of the race of expensive clothing, shoes and Jewelry. And also create a culture where petty talks are encouraged, They normally showcase that part of the world that is beyond the imagination and reality. This is also our responsibility to condemn and boycott these type of shows because at the end of the day, If we won't do this then surely we need to be ready and face the consequences in the form of another type of new Maya Khan.

Riya Sen and Veena Malik Are Love Rivals Who Shot Separately for Zindagi 50-50

Even though the Indian film industry is sufficiently large enough not to get congested for anyone, but for some people, it becomes a closed space of sorts. The recent case of having found and lost love and being deceived in not knowing who Mr. Right is, Riya Sen holds a love-rivalry against Veena Malik. Riya was once associated with Veena's ex-romance, Ashmit Patel, who is not famous for anything else other than making controversial news and for being the brother of one-time-famous-for Kaho Na Pyaar Hai's Amisha Patel.

But Riya Sen has had more controversies in her life than facing up to Veena Malik. It has been reported that working on the same project, Zindagi 50-50 is getting a little harder for Riya as she is not comfortable sharing the same screen with Veena. To avoid creating any further issues between the two actresses, the production team had scheduled their shoots separately so that they would not have to face each other.

On the matter, Riya Sen said:

"I don't have any shots with Veena. It was not mentioned in the script. And even the title track of the film will be shot separately with both of us."

But not to give an impression that the shoots were done separately because of the past both Riya and Veena share, the director Rajiv Ruia said:

"Riya plays an upcoming actress, and Veena a sex worker. They are not related in any way hence we have shot them separately."

Veena Malik Was Selected as ‘Chhanno’ for Her Dedication, Says Rumi Jafry

Posted: 14 Feb 2012 12:46 AM PST

By

When the Director of Gali Gali Chor hai, Rumi Jafry, was asked for the reason as to why he chose Veena Malik to be the 'Chhanno', he said:

"Well we were discussing on many names from which some had date problems, some were not suiting the song. It was then that choreographer Ahmed Khan suggested Veena Malik's name saying she's very good at dancing and would suit the best. And must say she's a very dedicated actress, even in this chilling winter where everybody was in overcoats and sweater on the sets, Veena shot the song continuously for three days at Karzat. Everybody on the sets was shocked to see her dedication."

Despite the fact that Rumi Jafry's Chhanno, the item song featured in the film Gali Gali Chor Hai did quite well for his film, he still maintains that it is no formula to use just to sell the tickets. Rumi Jafry said:

"I'm not on for item numbers which are fitted these days at the beginning or end of the film to gain publicity which has no relevance to the film. It's just cheating with the audience. Thus, I won't call Channo an item number because it's a situational song which was the need of the script."

If Chhanno is not an item number just because it was situational in the viewpoint of the filmmaker, then it technically is not. But when seen as a song on its own, it does fall within the category of one, and when audience believes it to be so, then it is cheating the right of judgment from audience who pays to watch whatever has been put together for their amusement and say otherwise.

PTCL Makes Reema Khan Their New Face for Campaigning

Reema Khan in PTCL AdvertisementPakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is amongst the most successful businesses in Pakistan, with their wide range of services spread across the country. Being partly owned by the Government has played its advantages for PTCL many times over, time and again. This time around, PTCL is out with its new campaign called 'Life in Motion' and for marketing they have signed on Reema Khan to be their new face.

The concept of the ad is such that selection of Reema Khan fits into the whole scheme of their idea. The ad shows how a busy showbiz personality like Reema takes refuge by getting assistance through different services offered by PTCL for her everyday hectic routine. Reema Khan has been previously associated with brands like Pepsi and Warid. However, Warid has now signed Humaima Malick as their new brand ambassador.

Shaan was the first actor to have been signed by a telecommunication company in Pakistan, back in the day when the telecom sector was just getting its roots stronger through such attractive heavy ad campaigns. Shaan was signed by Mobilink and he continued with it for a long time. That association helped Shaan making a new image in the Entertainment industry. Same could happen to Reema as she turns into a brand-endorsing celebrity with an influence.

Meera is Finally Saying Her Goodbye to Lollywood

Posted: 14 Feb 2012 12:38 AM PST

By

This news might come as a surprise to some and as a relief to some others. Which side has few numbers on its part and which has more is anyone's guess, but the fact is that Meera (originally named Irtiza Rubab) is leaving Lollywood for good. She is saying her final goodbyes to acting in films in Pakistan. At least apparently this is the statement she herself has given to the press.

Earlier though she was reported as saying that she will continue to work because her husband-to-be, Naveed Pervez's family is 'modern'. Whatever that 'modern' meant for her at the time she said it. Meera has been part of many controversies over the years like many other Pakistani actresses. But her stories were on the outer edges of being a normal controversy or a rumour. Hers were mostly outrageous.

Now she will hopefully exit Lollywood without further ado to others bearing her. She is beautiful and works as a good model, but just the minute she opens her mouth to say something, she becomes the Meeraji we all know of. Regarding getting married to Naveed Pervez she said to the Express Tribune that:

"This marriage was completely decided and approved by my family. He is a family friend and also happens to be my brother Ahsan's friend. My mother will decide the engagement and wedding dates. All I know about him is that he is a captain in an airline company and his family has shares in United Airways."

If the latter part of her statement is anything to go by, then she surely does not need to work even for another dime.

To many it comes as a surprise that Pakistan's two most famous actresses married almost next to one another, or at least the announcement was made in a similar span of time. To this Meera said:

"I am not following Reema's footsteps. If you're referring to the marriage rumours, media speculations about my marriage have been rife for the past 10 years. I won't lie; I always wanted to settle down. At first, it was with filmstar Saud. However, my mummy and Sangeeta Appa rejected the proposal. They asked me to concentrate on my career, as I was single-handedly supporting my family."

But this is not the only clarification Meera has to give to Pakistani cinema-goers and gossip-readers. She goes on further to clear doubts about who is the original artist, rather work of art. Meera said:

"In reality, Reema follows me. If you research, you'll see how Reema and Veena have copied everything I have done. I was the first one to go to India, I also co-produced the film Nazar and I was the first one to work with Mahesh Bhatt. Now look; Reema has produced her own film, Veena has gone to India and even befriended Ashmit Patel. It's funny that Patel is the same man who proposed to me a long time ago. Additionally, Veena gained popularity doing parodies of me."

With that clarification, Meera wants her fans to hold good memories of her and hints that it might not just be all that we have seen from her work in Bollywood. Meera said:

"If a really good offer comes my way, only then will I accept it. I want to change my image completely. It saddens me that I haven't produced any good work for the past four years. I want my fans to finally say: 'nobody can compete with Meera'."

We sure can say that even now no one is like Meera and hope that she remains one of kind for us. Her Indian film about cricket-matching fixing, Om Allah is reportedly in pre-production.
