Hero Bannay ki Tarang gives Pakistan the next filmy Sahi Jorr

Karachi, November 10: Pakistan's one of its kind acting based reality show 'Hero Bannay ki Tarang: Sahi Jorr ki Talash' initiated by Engro Foods Limited's tea whitening brand Tarang announced the winners of the show in its star studded grand finale. In a spectacle of thrill and suspense the show witnessed Reema, John Rambo (Afzal Khan) and Syed Noor unanimously announcing Lollywood's next star couple.

The aspiring actors Mahrukh and Asad Zamaan were made to perform short films. The sequences not only enthralled the audience, celebrities and judges but also transported them to the cinema of yesteryears. They were awarded an international acting scholarship with Rs. 1.5 Million.

Moammar Rana and Meera were the excited and impressed celebrity judges of the evening and were dazzled the performances of all the finalists. This season focused on searching for the "Sahi Jorr" which would revive the chemistry of the earlier charismatic couples of Lollywood. The participants had the fortune of being mentored by some of the most renowned members of the Pakistani film fraternity like Javed Sheikh, Sahiba, Nadeem Sahab, Khushboo, Arbaz Khan and many more. Moammar Rana whilst commenting on the show said "Hero Bannay ki Tarang" is a great initiative and I for once am very pleased to see this initiative by Tarang. Pakistan has never suffered from the dearth of talent and is full of passionate people. The problem has always existed in the lack of motivation and means to go out there and find it. It is with great pleasure that I am here today to extend my support to HBKT"

Seasoned Director Syed Noor also took up the opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to the HBKT team for providing the masses with such a big platform and said "Pakistan is endowed with very bright and talented youth which needs to be recognized and given a platform to display their art. With initiatives like these, companies like Engro Foods are playing a huge part in pumping fresh blood into the industry and enriching the talent pool"

Hero Bannay ki Tarang judges including glamorous film actress Reema and the very energetic John Rambo (Afzal Khan) congratulated the winners and said that they found them to be the Sahi Jorr for the Pakistani film industry.

Famous Lollywood actress and director Reema Khan has tied the knot with Dr Tariq Shahab.

Dr Tariq Shahab is a Pakistani-born American national cardiac surgeon and Reema's wedding news with Dr Shahab were surrounding in the media for last six months.

A Pakistani fashion designer Hassan Shehryar has prepared the wedding dresses for the bride and groom.

As wedding gifts, Reema has received a BMW from her husband and a house worth Rs 100 million from her mother-in-law.

Reema's first film, 'Bulandi', was followed by 'Hathi Mera Sathi', 'Beta', 'Munda Bigra Jai', 'Miss Istanbul', 'Hum Toh Chalay Susral', 'Chahat', 'Insaniyat', 'Hawaain', 'Rani Beti Raj Karay Gi', 'Niki Jai Haan', 'Nikkah', 'Koi Tujh Sa Kahan' and 'Love Mein Ghum'.

Dr Shahab graduated from Dow Medical College University of Karachi before heading for the US for further training in cardiovascular diseases. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University Of Michigan Medical Centre where he was awarded the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award.
