| Shahvar Ali Khan’s Second Single to be Used as Background Score for ‘Desi Boyz’ Posted: 11 Nov 2011 03:57 AM PST
Shahvar’s second track “Filmein Shilmein, Gaane Shaane” is a fun number which highlights the kid in all of us. The song will be featured as the background score of John Abraham, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone’s Desi Boyz directed by Rohit Dhawan. When we asked Shahvar to share details about the song, he was kind enough to not only confirm song’s inclusion but also share more details about this upcoming project. “My take on Desi Boyz is that it rests on two to three basic pillars: 1. Friendship and Male Bonding 2. Desi Pride and 3. Global Economic Depression. So, desi-ism of course was evident coming from a paka Lahori! However, these are three main areas where I feel ‘Desi Boyz’ and “Filmein Shilmein” develop synergy. That’s my endeavor in every song – whether “No Saazish, No Jang – Peace not Pieces” or “Filmein Shilmein” – the idea is to weave a harsh fact or a utopian story beyond melody and singing. ” told Shahvar in a conversation with KoolMuzone. As Filmein Shilmein is a background score, you won’t get to find it on the CDs. However, you will get to hear it quite a lot in the movie since it’s played in bits and pieces in quite a lot of scenes. Shahvar also told us that it was a brilliant experience for him doing this score for the film because he feels Desi Boyz is kind of like his own story. “As friends, Rohit Dhawan and I are like Desi Boyz, because in spirit ‘Desi Boyz’ – the film – is a story of friendship through thick and thin of two Desi friends abroad. Since our unconditional camaraderie, as part of a closely knit Desi gang at Trinity College, where even borders became meaningless, I think our entire Desi clan has shouldered each other across troubled waters on more than one occasion.” said Shahvar. Being the usual humble person that he is, Shahvar added “I don’t consider this opportunity as a ”break’ in Bollywood’ per se, but just a humble small gesture to pitch in my friends film in the form of an ode to all struggler friends across the world. It’s enough for me to be heartened by the fact that our basic creative ‘Desi’ chemistry matched and Rohit intuitively and instinctively took a call to use my song “Filmein Shilmien, Gaane Shaane” in the “Background Score” of Desi Boyz.” Shahvar will also be releasing a video for this upcoming song soon after the release of No Saazish, No Jang. Till Khan gives you guys the real treat, get teased here and wait for more. Shahvar Ali Khan’s Second Single to be Used as Background Score for ‘Desi Boyz’ is a post from: Koolmuzone Related posts:
