Bat for Lashes has announced new song 'Laura', after Zane Lowe premiered it this evening on Radio 1 as his 'Hottest Track In The World'.
'Laura', taken from the forthcoming album ‘The Haunted Man‘ (released October 15 2012), has been a fan favourite following recent performances at European festivals and although taken from the forthcoming album, the track will be available as an instant download to fans who pre-order the album on iTunes as of midnight tonight.
This devastating, tear-stained swoon of a piano ballad featuring seductively sombre horns and strings is accompanied by a suitably heart-rending video.
Take a listen to the song below:
Lyrics:
You say that the evil left you behind Your heart broken, A part of you died
Keep your arms around me and softly say Can we dance upon the tables again?
When you smile so wide Your heels are so high You can't cry, get your glad rags on And let's sing along To that lonely song Is a train that crashed my heart You're the glitter in the dark
Uh, Laura you're more than a suá¹—erstar And in this horror show I've got to tell you so Uh Laura you're more than a superstar
You say that you’re stuck in a pale blue dream And your tears feel hard on my bed sheets Keep your arms around me and softly say Can we dance upon the tables again?
When you smile so wide Your heels are so high You can't cry but you're glad Vibe's on and let's sing along To that lonely song You're the train that crashed my heart You're the glitter in the dark Uh, Laura you're more than a superstar You’ll be famous for longer than them Your name is tattooed on every boy's skin Uh, Laura you're more than a superstar
You're the train that crashed my heart You're the glitter in the dark Uh, Laura you're more than a suá¹—erstar And in this horror show I've got to let you know Uh Laura you're more than a superstar You're more than a superstar

Former leading vocalist of a popular Pakistani band “Fuzon”, Shafqat Amant Ali Khan, who has gained so much popularity not only in Pakistan but also across the border has announced that he will be releasing his new album very soon.
Shafqat said that the new music album is yet to be titled and it will represent the shades and phases of his personality in the form of music. The Upcoming album will be cloud based as there will be no more CD’s this time, as the demand for music in the modern market is for digital. While sharing the details, Shafqat added he is frustrated with the issue of CD piracy.
“One cannot explain the issue of piracy. Why someone illegally uploads or downloads an album is beyond me. It`s been really damaging to the industry. In Pakistan, the Government is clearly not focused on the issue of piracy. Record labels really aren`t offering much either,” Shafqat said in an interview.
In the description of the album, Shafqat said that some of the songs were composed when he was in Government college and was struggling to be an artist, while the rest of the songs are based on his recent experiences. The 47 years old has also planned some more releases in the near future. For example, his recordings for "Coke Studio" in Amritsar (completed 4 years back) are now being released. Even at the age of 47 he has got so much charm left in him, and his voice is still breath taking for millions. We wish him very best of luck for his upcoming music album.
